The Director Carol Vinyard founded Spiritseeker’s in 2004 as a celebration of both the natural world and shamanic spirituality in the creative medium of song, drum and dance.

The Committee was established as a supportive decision making body that assists the Director in all organisational aspects of events organised by Spiritseeker’s.The current Committee members are Tiffany Vinyard, Shirley Cassidy and Paul Sandford.

The Director is the ultimate decision-maker of all financial, campsite and workshop arrangements regarding the Retreats and other events. The Committee is there to support the Director but however is under the sole authority of the Spiritseeker’s Founder and Director. The Spiritseeker’s Committee members are referred as Associate Directors.

The Retreats have both a Campsite and a Workshop Co-ordinator, which are appointed by the Director in agreement with the Committee.

The Campsite Co-ordinator is responsible for both the organising of the campsite crew and related health and safety issues during the Retreat. The Campsite Co-ordinator in making any alterations to campsite organisation must be agreed first by the Director.

Should the Campsite Co-ordinator have disagreements with the Director over issues then may make an appeal for further consultation with the Director and Committee members. The committee then will consider the appeal and make suggestions to the Director however the ultimate decision is make by the Director and this will be final.

The Workshop/Performance Co-ordinator is responsible for both the smooth running of workshops and performances. This includes supporting the Workshop Leaders in the facilitation of events and in collaboration with the Campsite Co-ordinator in where the workshops is held.

The Workshop Co-ordinator in making any alterations to workshop and performance organisation must first be agreed by the Director. Should the Workshop/Performance Co-ordinator have disagreements with the Director over the organisation of workshop leaders then may make an appeal for further consultation with the Director and Committee members. The committee then will consider the appeal and make suggestions to the Director however the ultimate decision is make by the Director and this be final.

Should campsite crew or Workshop/Performance Leaders have any disagreements or issues with the above Co-ordinators then they may meet with a Committee member. The Committee member then may bring the issue to the Director to consider. If any action must be taken then the Director, with the backing of the Committee will then discreetly meet with the given Co-ordinator to remedy the problem.

If a Workshop Leader or Campsite crew member should like to make suggestions is the organisation on improvement of the Retreat, like the co-ordinator’s the Director will welcome idea’s, however it must be understood that it is the Director who makes the decision whether to change any aspect of the organisation of the Retreat with the support of the Committee members.
